Welcome to Atrium School
Atrium School is a non-traditional private school (sometimes called an "umbrella" or "600" school) providing services to homeschoolers in Florida. Atrium school exists to support and facilitate homeschooling as an educational choice. Atrium School offers Florida homeschooling families two distinct enrollment programs so that families can select the level of support and guidance that's right for them.Florida homeschooling families who choose to enroll with a private school do not fall under the Florida home education statutes. Students enrolled in Atrium School are considered private school students. This is a legal distinction and not a practical one. In practice, families who enroll with Atrium School are homeschooling their children. However, they do not have to submit a Notice of Intent to the Superintendent, undergo an annual evaluation nor comply with any other part of the home education statutes. Instead, families enrolling in a Florida private school with a homeschool option must follow the requirements set forth by the school. In turn, the school complies with state statutes governing private schools.
